From day one, we've worked closely with a Japanese producer to ensure every scoop reflects their craft and care. Best at Matcha exists to give the UK a matcha it can finally trust - one that brings a moment of calm and clarity to every day.
We work exclusively with a farmers in Shizuoka, Japan - a region renowned as Japan's premier tea-growing area. This isn't just about geography; it's about partnership. We know our growers personally, we understand their methods, and we share their unwavering commitment to quality.

Meet our farm
Our matcha comes from a family-run farm in Shizuoka Prefecture, an area often referred to as Japan's tea capital. The farm has been cultivating tea for four generations, passing down traditional knowledge and techniques that simply can't be rushed or replicated.
The tea plants are shade-grown for several weeks before harvest, a labour-intensive process that boosts chlorophyll levels and creates matcha's signature vibrant green colour and sweet, umami-rich flavour. After harvest, only the finest leaves are selected, steamed, dried, and stone-ground into the ultra-fine powder you know and love.
